Welcome to JAB Agri Solutions

At JAB Agri Solutions, we walk alongside small-scale livestock producers and hobby farmers, helping you cut through the complexity of compliance, sustainability, and industry best practices.

From registering your first PIC and understanding who is responsible for transferring livestock, to making sure you have the right equipment for the right stock in the right environment, we make the complicated simple. Whether it’s PIC registrations, NLIS transfers, LPA animal husbandry, or biosecurity planning, we break it down into clear, practical steps that anyone can follow.

Through hands-on workshops, an upcoming all-in-one education hub, and our future compliance software toolkit, we’re building the resources small producers need to grow with confidence.

Based in the Darling Downs, South East Queensland, we live the same life we teach—running a small beef breeding and trading enterprise alongside raising a family. Whether you’re managing one animal or 40 head, we understand your challenges because they’re ours too.

Our expertise goes beyond the paddock. With backgrounds in bookkeeping, compliance, HR, and business development, we know what it takes to keep your farm records in order and your operation moving forward.

We believe record-keeping, compliance, and biosecurity aren’t just paperwork—they’re the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable livestock industry. By supporting small producers to get the basics right, we’re helping secure the future of farming for the next generation.

More than a business, this is our way of life. Our passion is making sure small producers feel confident, connected, and supported—because the land, the livestock, and the lifestyle matter.

Who We Are

At JAB Agri Solutions, we specialise in helping small livestock producers and hobby farmers take the guesswork out of running their operations. As a small producer myself, I know how overwhelming it can be to start out and not know what’s required, who to talk to, or where to begin.

That’s why we guide producers step by step—from the very basics right through to long-term compliance and confidence:

  • Getting started: How to register a Property Identification Code (PIC) and what it means for your livestock movements.

  • Knowing your responsibilities: Understanding who is responsible for transferring livestock on the NLIS database, and how to make sure it’s done correctly.

  • Practical equipment: Choosing the right tools and infrastructure—from NLIS tag readers, scales, and yard setups to safe handling gear—so you can manage the right stock in the right environment.

  • On-going support: Building habits around record-keeping, biosecurity planning, and risk management that save time and protect your farm.

By combining real on-farm experience with strong industry connections, we make sure every producer has the confidence, tools, and knowledge to run their livestock with ease and meet industry expectations.

Our Background & Industry Work

We’ve partnered with Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) and Integrity Systems Company (ISC) on several major projects, including:

  • National Small Producer Survey (2024–25): Collected over 1,000 responses from small-scale producers, highlighting their motivations, challenges, and compliance confidence levels.

  • Feasibility & Business Concept Plans: Developed recommendations to establish a National Education Hub and a Small Producer Compliance Toolkit, ensuring resources are practical, desirable, and industry-aligned.

  • Red Meat Industry Engagement: Shared insights across MLA, ISC, and producer networks to shape better tools and workshops that meet producers where they are.

These projects, combined with my own farming experience, are the foundation for everything JAB Agri Solutions is building today.

Why We Exist

  • Bridge the gap: Many smaller producers want to do the right thing but feel overwhelmed by fragmented information and systems.

  • Confidence & connection: Practical skills, local networks and simple tools accelerate adoption of best practice.

  • Strengthen the supply chain: Better records, welfare and biosecurity at the farm gate raise trust and market access across the red meat industry.

Who We Help – Real Examples

Every week I hear from producers who simply need someone to help them take the next step. For example:

  • A first-generation hobby farmer with 20 acres and 10 head of cattle, unsure how to register a PIC or order NLIS tags.

  • A small sheep producer who wants to do the right thing but feels lost navigating LPA requirements and biosecurity planning.

  • A family with a small block who run a few head for lifestyle but don’t know what records they need for animal treatments, chemical use, or sales.

  • A retiring grazier downsizing who wants confidence that their new, smaller operation still meets industry standards without unnecessary stress.

These stories reflect a common theme: producers want to do the right thing but lack the time, knowledge, or confidence to piece everything together. JAB Agri Solutions exists to change that.

At JAB Agri Solutions, we stand out in the livestock industry for several key reasons:

  1. We are Livestock Producers: As livestock producers ourselves, we understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by rural producers. This first-hand experience allows us to provide tailored solutions that truly meet the needs of small players in the industry.

  2. Simplified Data Entry Processes: We offer a streamlined approach to managing essential livestock data to ensure your compliance is met in one place. Our Hub simplifies the data entry processes for NLIS (National Livestock Identification System), eNVD (electronic National Vendor Declarations), LPA (Livestock Production Assurance), and biosecurity which is crucial for auditing but also ensuring standards are kept high. By consolidating these processes into one simple place, we save you time and reduce the dreaded complexity of compliance.

  3. Educational Components: We recognise that knowledge is power. That’s why we provide the missing links in education around compliance and regulation requirements for small livestock producers. Our comprehensive educational components cover NLIS, eNVD, LPA, and biosecurity, ensuring that you have the information and skills needed to succeed in the industry.
